Dr. Karen Gilleta is a psychologist who specializes in individual therapy for adults. She has clinical experience working in a variety of settings including mental health clinics, inpatient hospital settings, university counselling centres, and correctional institutions. Dr. Gilleta is a former Assistant Professor and Counsellor at Memorial University's Counselling Centre.
As a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, she specializes in interpersonal and psychodynamic therapy for adults presenting with a broad range of issues including trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders.
Dr. Gilleta provides both brief therapy and long-term depth psychotherapy, integrating evidenced-based techniques in a sensitive manner that fits with where clients are in the change process.
